Improbable , the ground breaking software simulation business, has appointed Ryan DeSanto as Deputy Head of Gaming.
Ryan joins Improbable from the Chinese online games giant NetEase where he was a Senior Producer and Head of Business Development for the North American market. Prior to working at NetEase he founded two other gaming companies; TinySpark and Playhem, raising capital, leading development teams and driving business development for both companies.
Improbable was founded in 2012 in London and now has over 125 staff helping them revolutionise the software industry with their simulation technologies. Simulations as large and complex as the real world are the next fundamental breakthrough technology. Like in the real world, objects in these simulations will change in response to their environment, and their interactions will combine to form massive, complex systems.
Improbable are building the platform to make these simulations possible. Their first product for reality-scale simulations is SpatialOS; a distributed operating system capable of producing consequential, persistent simulations at unprecedented scale. SpatialOS is being deployed in many progressive game studios and the most critical government institutions across the world.
In 2015 Improbable closed a Series A funding round worth $22 million led by silicon valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz with Marc Andreessen joining the board of Improbable.
