Dhruv Kumar joins Charlotte Tilbury Beauty as CTO

Renaissance Leadership is delighted to announce the appointment of Dhruv Kumar as CTO into fast growth beauty brand Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. Dhruv joins Charlotte Tilbury Beauty from The Hut Group where he was Group Engineering Director responsible for all retail systems and a team of 200.
Prior to The Hut Group he spent two years with HP Autonomy in their software engineering, research and development organisation.

Founded by world renowned make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty is revolutionising make-up with easy to choose, easy to use and easy to gift skincare and color products. The brand has won more than 110 industry awards, and is recognised for its social, community-based marketing strategies. It is also strategically focused on innovation, introducing the augmented reality “Magic Mirror” to Westfield London and the brand’s Covent Garden shop, launching a virtual reality perfume experience involving Kate Moss, and creating the “Hot Lips x Women for Women” lipsticks.

Sequoia Capital, which is based in Menlo Park and has previously backed Airbnb, Alibaba, Apple, Dropbox, Google, Instagram, JD.com, WhatsApp and YouTube has recently invested an undisclosed sum, while Charlotte Tilbury’s other investors include Venrex Investment Management, whose other investments include Samantha Cameron’s new brand Cefinn, Orlebar Brown, Astley Clarke and Lyst.com.
