Awake Networks appoints Rudolph Araujo as VP Marketing

At Awake, Rudolph will be responsible for launching the company out of stealth and head all marketing functions.

Prior to Awake, Rudolph ran the Product Marketing team at FireEye where he focused on defining the messaging and go to market strategies for the portfolio. He started his FireEye career as one of the leaders of the Incident Response practice in FireEye Labs where he worked with customers to help them respond to breaches. Before FireEye, Rudolph was a Director of Professional Services at Intel Security where he was a leader in the Foundstone Services practice.

Rudolph is a contributor to a number of industry journals such as Software Magazine, where he writes a column on security. His work has also been published in academic journals like IEEE’s Security & Privacy Magazine. Rudolph has been honored for the last 14 years in a row with the Microsoft Security MVP Award in recognition of his thought leadership and contributions to the security communities. He has also written the foreword for the Microsoft Web Services Security Guide and is a contributing author / technical editor to the books Developing More-Secure Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 Applications and Gray Hat Hacking – The Ethical Hacker’s Handbook. Rudolph is a speaker at security and developer conferences such as OWASP, Microsoft Tech-Ed, SD West and SD Best Practices.
